Kings [new TV to watch]
So I was watching the Daily Show with Jon Stewart the other day and the night’s guest was Ian McShane. Ian McShane you will of course remember stared in the hugely successful HBO show Deadwood, but you’re probably like me and don’t have HBO so you’ve probably not seen it. Well McShane has also been in some other things; he did the voice of Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda and the voice of Mr. Bobinsky in Coraline. He was also in Death Race, which I kind of wanted to see but didn’t. My point to all of this is that he has a new show, and its good, NBC’s Kings.

Odds are you probably don’t know what Kings is seeing as how only 6 million people watched its premiere last Sunday. But here is how the shows summary reads…..

Yeah not very good. Somebody has really dropped the ball on marketing this thing. I’m not sure I can do much better but here it goes…
A modern-day soap show about a hero who rises to become the King of his nation, based on the biblical story of King David. Staring really good actors, has great production values, and a tight story with well developed characters.
Anyways suffice to say I really like this show. I had been looking for something new to watch lately. I even briefly entertained the notion of watching Battlestar Gallactica but removing my eyes with and ice cream scooper and replacing them with ping pong balls seem preferable to that. Here is a preview of tonight’s episode which airs at 8/7c, which you probably wont understand because you missed the first episode but it is on hulu so you can catch up.
